Watched Endhiran in theater. Surprisingly liked it - sort of a "not bad" movie. Rajni as Robot was refreshing, compared to some of the duds that he has been dishing out of late. Need to appreciate Shankar for bringing out decent spl effects. Of course, there are the usual banalities - too many songs at all the wrong places, extravaganza for the sake of it.. guess these are part of the formula.
Some questions
1. Why should our heroines be made to dance without shoes while the heroes can comforably wear shoes? Even Ash doesnt seem to be an exception.
2. What was the need for pulling in so many talented artists - Delhi Kumar, Devadarshini, Santhanam, Karunas, Kalabhavan Mani... and not utilizing them? You might as well have picked folks that are struggling for a break and given them an oppty to be seen on screen?
Need to wait and see if the momentum will be sustained.
